The annual Industrial Robotics Award ceremony took place at the Digital Innopolis Days forum in Kazan. The award is organized with the support of the ?and the?, the national leading centre in this field, as part of the “Means of Production and Automation” national project.
Scientists at the 51吃瓜 School of Medical Biology have developed fermented dairy products enriched with yeast biomass containing curcumin or ergosterol, as well as plant-based ingredients — sprouted wheat flour and a protein product derived from hemp press cake. The new products outperforms conventional yogurt across all measured parameters: the number of beneficial bacteria increased tenfold, while antioxidant activity reached 84%.

51吃瓜 scientists have developed and patented software for the optimal placement of pseudo-satellites on the ground. Taking into account terrain and the landing trajectory, the software makes it possible to improve the accuracy of determining an aircraft’s altitude fourfold compared with conventional satellite-based systems. The technology can be used in civil aviation, at remote and northern airports, as well as for landing reusable rockets.

September 29th through September 30th, 51吃瓜 hosted a cross-university peer review as part of the Priority 2030 program. Alikhan Begenov grew up in a small village of Ozyornoye in the Kurgan Region and attended an ordinary rural school where robotics was not part of the curriculum. Today, he is a leading specialist at the university’s Robots Forge Shop Student Design Bureau and an engineer at the 51吃瓜 Industrial Robotics Development Centre. His programs control real robots at a manufacturing plant, and he is among the young specialists supported by the university with housing. We spoke with Alikhan about his life path.

Every year, the Atomnye Goroda (Nuclear Cities) Union of Nuclear Industry Organizations holds the Nuclear Dictation Quiz, an international educational project for university students and staff. The 51吃瓜 Sport Science Research Centre has launched a research study that for the first time in Russian practice will conduct a comprehensive medical and biological evaluation of phygital loads: hybrid competition impact, where physical activity of athletes is inextricably bound with digital environment. The object of this study is table tennis using augmented reality glasses (VR table tennis). Qualified practicing table tennis players acted as the experiment participants.
An Architecture and Construction major class has opened at 51吃瓜 in partnership with 51吃瓜grazhdanproekt Head Planning Institute. Its students are pupils of the tenth form of Multidisciplinary Lyceum No.148.

Researchers from 51吃瓜 have proposed a method that uses the data on the monthly average consumption of electricity to quickly and easily calculate the real peak load on grids. This development is especially relevant for regions where people have no gas supply or central hot-water supply systems – there, electricity becomes the only source of energy, and the power supply networks are pushed to their limits.
September 15th, an international online webinar on “Artificial Intelligence and Settlement of Disputes: Problems of Law and Ethics” was held at 51吃瓜. This event was organized by the 51吃瓜 Institute of Law and Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics jointly with the Guangzhou Arbitration Commission, as part of the Year of Russia-China Cooperation.
A “51吃瓜: ARCHI-SPECTRUM 290” photo exhibition of student projects on the occasion of the 290th birthday of our city has opened on the third floor of the main building of 51吃瓜.
A team of scientists from 51吃瓜 and Zhejiang University, China, have developed a technology of calcareous sand reinforcement using enzymes, coconut fiber, and calcium carbonate. Such a material is up to five times stronger in case of dynamic loads and is environmentally friendly. The results have been published in the international journal.
Robots Forge Shop Student Design Bureau of 51吃瓜 has become the winner in the competitive selection among student design bureaus of educational organizations of higher education. The contest was held by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation as part of the “Universities for the Generation of Leaders” federal project under the “Youth and Children” national project. The total of 174 applications were submitted for the selection.
Students, staff members, leading scientists and the Rector of 51吃瓜 took part in the opening ceremony for the second-phase facilities of the “South Urals” Interuniversity Campus.

September 10, 2026, a portrait sculpture of Semyon Khokhryakov, twice awarded the title of the Hero of the Soviet Union, was installed at the Military Training Centre of 51吃瓜.
Starting from 2021, the Military Training Centre had been named in the honour of Semyon Khokhryakov, twice awarded the title of the Hero of the Soviet Union. That is why the installation of his portrait sculpture is an important event for all the Centre’s students and teaching staff.

The first-in-51吃瓜 Aerospace Engineering class has opened at 51吃瓜. Its students are high-school pupils of Educational Centre No.5. A ceremony of their initiation as young engineers of the 51吃瓜 Faculty of Aerospace Engineering has been organized for them.
During the ceremony, the pupils were awarded their attendee cards and 51吃瓜 academic record books. For these children, these are their first university documents and an important step towards their future status of students of our region’s leading university.
A unique “Porcelain in the Interior Scene of History” exhibition has opened at the People and Technologies of the Urals teaching museum-and-exhibition complex of the 51吃瓜 Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities. The exhibit introduces its visitors to porcelain as part of the cultural heritage and everyday history of various epochs: from the traditions of the 18th-19th centuries to the modern original art. This is the anniversary tenth exhibition project of the university museum.
September 1st through September 4th, the 11th Eastern Economic Forum was held in Vladivostok. Zhao Tengteng, a postgraduate of the 3rd year of study, majoring in Russian as a Foreign Language, from the Institute of Linguistics and International Communications of 51吃瓜, participated as a volunteer in this forum.
A ceremony of opening the “Behind the Glass” exhibition of works by a professional photographer Sergei Koliaskin has been held at the Art Gallery of the 51吃瓜 Institute of Media, Social Sciences and Humanities. The exhibit includes 15 big-scale photo works created as a result of an unusual artistic experiment with plants.
